Shohini Ghose is a Professor of Physics at Wilfrid Laurier University and the Chief Technology Officer of the Quantum Algorithms Institute. Her research has contributed to foundational advances in quantum computing and communication. She is a member of Canada’s Quantum Advisory Council overseeing the National Quantum Strategy and she serves on UNESCO’s Basic Sciences Advisory Board. Shohini is the founding Director of the Laurier Centre for Women in Science (WinS) and holds the NSERC Chairs for Women in Science and Engineering (ON). Her awards include selection to the College of the Royal Society of Canada and a TED Senior Fellowship. Her 2023 book, Her Space, Her Time, won the Science Writers and Communicators of Canada Book Award.
