Joel Jackson is the founder and CEO of Mobius Motors, a venture building low-cost high-function vehicles for Africa’s mass-market.
Before Mobius, Joel worked on business strategy with an internationally acclaimed social enterprise in rural Kenya. It was here that he first experienced the challenges facing millions of people throughout the continent without access to appropriate forms of transport. Joel also worked as a management consultant, advising top Fortune 500 and FTSE 100 companies across Europe and North America.
In addition to the TED Global fellowship, he is also the recipient of the Echoing Green fellowship, a global social enterprise fund and has presented Mobius’ vision at several worldwide forums, including the UN. Joel is a graduate of Imperial College with a first class honours degree in Computer Science.
