Website: sonaliprasad.net // I was onboard as the Digital Media Innovator of a unique photo project run by the International Olympic Committee where four of the world's best Sports Illustrated photographers, Bob Martin, Simon Bruty, Thomas Lovelock and Al Tielemens came together to capture the grit and splendor of the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. // During my Knight Science Journalism fellowship, I gathered research on several significant earthquakes, particularly in the Himalayas, using MIT and Harvard resources. I developed a general understanding of plate tectonics, earthquake modeling, and the socio-political histories of earthquakes. // Reporting on energy and environment issues. // Worked on a project to report on a year-long storyline based on coral reef health data collected using automated color-detection algorithms off of underwater images. // More than 1800 candidates applied to the Fellowship.
