Biography

Deepti is the Country Representative for Escuela Nueva Foundation in India. Over 40 years, Escuela Nueva has developed a child centered methodology that has created dramatic results in Colombia - for example, taking it to second in Latin American in math scores - that we are now trying to bring to India. I like thinking about developing people - children through primary and secondary education or adults through unique leadership development program and am interested in how we can find sustainable ways of doing so. I have also helped launch a school management company in India that is bringing innovative methodologies to private schools in small towns and rural areas. And before moving to India, I was the Talent Manager at Acumen Fund, a non-profit venture fund, where I helped create the Acumen Fund Fellows Program. I love playing tennis - even though I'm not that good - and am excited about the new yoga and meditation room we have set up at home.
